US FDA Laboratory Accreditation for Analysis of Foods Program (LAAF): Will establish a laboratory accreditation program and will require all importers to use LAAF accredited laboratories for testing covered in 1.1107, like samples on detention without examination. Owners and consignees will be given 6 months notice that they will be required to use a LAAF accredited laboratory once the FDA has determined that a sufficient number of laboratories has been accredited.
Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare Recognition: Environmental Micro Analysis is recognized by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare to perform pesticide residue testing for exported food going to Japan (Certificate #21). We have the experience and knowledge of US pesticide registration and use to limit testing to those classes of compounds likely to be present.
